To address my statement of intent in my PSA I used info graphics and some animation in order to make the video attention grabbing, entertaining and educating. My video was 40 seconds which was with in the limits of the required time of 30-55 seconds. I also used animation on the text in a way that showed the most important messages in the PSA. I picked music to go with the text because i thought it would have a stronger effect with the text.
If there is anything that I would do differently I would add transitions between the slides to make it look more professional. The hardest part of this project was coming up with the content of the PSA and also deciding how to address that intent. Like deciding weather to do a video or a text video. Then it is finding the right software to use for the video. This is because some soft-wares like After Effects require a certain amount of training and could not efficiently be used by beginners. But because I liked the concept of After Effects I went to find a software that has similar features but more user friendly. The easiest part of making this video was editing it after I put all the information together. Once everything was mapped out, editing the video and adding animation was easy to do.

How to write a public service announcement comment
One of the main things I learned from reading the article is that PSA videos are not just supposed to discuss a problem or bring awareness to an issue. These videos are supposed to call some action to be taken. At the end the video has to be encouraging or motivating the audience to do something to fix the problem. I also learned about what makes a PSA video effective and that the videos should always follow the shorter and more effective way. In other words, quality is more important than quantity.
PSA Intent
For my PSA I am going to emphasize on the severity of the problem and actions that could be taken to prevent it. I will mostly be using text and a music background as a visual and audio for my video. The PSA is going to be more on a serious note. The video will start with a rhetorical remark that shows how many people are affected by the problem. Then it will explain the dangers of the problem and why it needs to be stopped.

PSA Video comment
1. PSA: Marijuana Impaired Driving/TV
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22jcBvUx3Sw2. Anti-Drug Frying Pan Smash PSA - Rachel Leigh Cook
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMwxWHaZUro
The first PSA video used humor to get its intended message across but it still passed on a strong message and achieved its purpose. The second PSA video is one of my personal favorites because it is so simple yet it has so much power and it is such an accurate relativity to the problem and it is presented in a way that everyone could understand.

Capstone Project Statment of Intent
The goal of my project is to bring awareness
to the increasing drug abuse in the adolescent community, specifically
Marijuana. This is important because it affects a large group of adolescents
throughout every high school and it is important to know the long term and short
term effects marijuana abuse has on young adults. With a clear understanding of
the dangers of marijuana abuse, we can have a chance of decreasing the abuse in
our high schools and the adolescent community. My career objective in Neuroscience
ties into my goals for this project because the effect of marijuana on the
brain falls directly under neuroscience. This project will give back to society
by decreasing marijuana abuse by young adults thus eliminating the negative
impact that it has on a personal and societal level.

Theme
For my yearbook cover I explored the the theme of diversity by using different picture and fonts. My specific theme was Diversity is strength. I used a picture of people with different flags embedded in the picture to show the different places and different backgrounds people come from. I also inserted pictures of the flag in the School name and School year to exemplify the diverse community of out high school during the school year.
